2024 Popular Staycation Checklist Shopping Guide & Thematic
How we loved to travel before the pandemic! Now we can’t wait to fly and have to vacation at home. But we can still enjoy some of the feeling of travelling and satisfy our travel bug to some extent with a staycation at a local hotel. So what should you pack for your trip? Here are some tips.
Preparing for a Staycation
1. Hair removal
For ladies, if you want to take photos by the pool, unsightly hair is a no-no, especially if you’re wearing a bathing suit as it exposes your hands and legs. Special attention needs to be paid to the underarms and intimate areas to avoid embarrassing situations. With that out of the way, enjoy your stay with peace of mind!
2. Packing your bags
A staycation is basically a mini trip away from home. But you still need to pack! Most hotels provide essentials but personal items such as clothes, chargers and any personal medications you need are not provided. Have an idea of what you need so you’ll know exactly what to bring!
3. Weather forecast
As well as affecting your mood, the weather is important for safety reasons. When the weather is poor such as in a typhoon it can be dangerous to venture outside. Hotel guests should stay in a safe place and avoid outdoor activities. Check the weather forecast before a staycation so you can plan better.
Staycation Essential Items
Camera
A must for any staycation! Take photos of your lovely hotel for some great memories. In fact, different locations within the hotel offer interesting views. Why not capture them all!
Beauty / Skin Care Products
At the end of the day, when you return to your hotel room, get into a relaxing beauty routine. Bring a beauty mask to keep your skin in tip-top condition or if you have higher demands, bring your beauty device along to combat fatigue and keep you looking gorgeous!
Hair-styling Tools
Apart from skincare, hair styling is important! For ladies, prepare curling irons and hair masks, while for gentlemen, bring along some styling wax and hairspray to get you ready for any photo shots!
Medication
Bring along any medication you may need in case of emergencies, either as a necessity or simply as a back-up.
Swimwear
Most hotels have swimming pools for guests to use. Put on your bathing suit and take the opportunity to enjoy the sun during your stay at the hotel.
Luggage Bag
A few items are all you need for a short stay, so you won’t need a suitcase. A lightweight carry-on bag will do!
Toothbrush
Most hotels provide necessities such as towels. But be aware that some don’t provide toothbrushes so bring yours with you. And for those who are more concerned about personal hygiene, bring your own towel or washcloth to use at the hotel.
